New office and workshop - news item
During 2016 we relocated to improve our offices and manufacturing production facilities. We have purchased new premises, which are considerably larger than our previous rented office and workshop site. This will allow our business to grow and cater to a greater demand for our services.

The new premises are situated near the market town of 'Howden' in East Yorkshire. Our premises are very close to the motorway network; allowing quick and easy travel to and from any part of the country.

Our new office also has the benefit of a dedicated meeting and conference room at first floor level. Our extensive workshop is situated at ground floor level; we have improved our manufacturing capacity with updated equipment and storage facilities.

Apprentices news item
Local MP Nigel Adams met apprentices last week when he visited North Duffield-based shop-fitting company Direct Interior Solutions as part of the National Apprenticeship Week celebrations.

Andy Addison, Manager, said, "We were literally a one-man operation when we first started trading but have grown rapidly as the company's customer base expanded, and now operate across the country. Andy added, "To meet customer demand for our products, we needed to grow the business and we achieved this by participating in the Government's Apprenticeship programme; working with local Apprenticeship provider, Selby College".

Andy added, "The Apprenticeship programme is a win-win situation both for the employer and the apprentice. We get access to motivated and capable future employees who can be trained to meet our exact requirements and the young person is able to gain valuable work experience and knowledge whilst working towards their qualifications."

Nigel Adams MP said "It's good to see another successful business benefitting by participating in the national Apprenticeship programme". Nigel added, "Apprenticeships make a vital contribution to the economy and the programme delivered locally by top-performing Selby College is designed to give young people the skills they need to get on in life, gaining a trade and the motivation to build a successful future for themselves."
